The writing style of the author and the plot of this book makes this book an absolute "must read." The book holds you captive and anxious to know what will happen next. The twist and turns of each character's life are very exciting. Although the book is fictional, I love the manner in which Cheryl M. Robinson, the author, exposes real life relationships, situations, and health issues. More importantly, she reveals how our Christian faith and Christian walk is greater and bigger than any one of those real life experiences. Great read!
I loved this book from start to finish. So well written that once you start reading you will not want to stop. Good character development. I did not want the book to end because I knew I would miss the characters. The author has a true gift for writing.
Where have you been hiding. This is the 2nd book and it is just as good as the first. You are right up there among the best. Entertaining, interesting, relatable. It makes you smile and cry. Cheryl Robinson has perfected the art of storytelling. In her latest novel, IN A YEAR'S TIME, the main character, Janole has to face many obstacles that have the potential of destroying her family. In this sequel, Robinson highlights the life shaping events of the main character. These events range from the health crisis of her son to the renewed relationship with her husband. It's a fascinating read that explores the trials and tribulations of life.
I read In a Year's Time (IAYT) in just a few days. The plot and the well-developed characters kept me captivated, wondering what would happen next. I found it difficult to put this book down. While Christian fiction (or any fiction) is not my preferred genre, I thoroughly enjoyed the author's style, the realistic situations and the adherence to Christian truths. Throughout the book, Cheryl Robinson, author, highlights the power of God's love and the comfort of wholesome human relationships. Forgiveness is a central theme, both divine and human. Characters face betrayal, heartache, and mental & physical health crises which affected their abilities to forgive quickly.
While reading, I often pondered how I might respond in situations similar to those in the book. A bonus in IAYT is the inclusion of discussion questions that actually covered topics/situations I pondered. This section can be very useful for a book club, women's study group, or as friends/family conversation starters.
In a Year's Time is a terrific book that I highly recommend. It is well worth your time and money!
The characters lives were true to life. There are many real life situations that we all face just like them but they realized it was God that they needed to depend upon, so we must also put our faith and trust in God. The storylines were well written. It was such a joy to read and I am anxiously awaiting for the next book.
Cheryl continues to amaze! Each chapter leaves you waiting for the next. She certainly has a gift and I'm glad she is sharing it with us. Her books are a good read for book clubs and more.
