Ok... here it goesThis book pretty much just spun out the original story in a similar plot line. I left a detailed review of the first book and everything I said there holds true here.
To be honest I'm sorry I read both books now. Mr. Ricca is still a good story teller in that he can write an interesting story even with his not knowing much about the genre he is writing in. After two books though it really started to get to me all the errors in basic physics etc.. Even more so were the actions of the good guys toward their foes. So the aliens were going to wipe them out and eat them. Well at least the aliens didn't play with them in death games they just business like went about exterminating you. I have not a problem with exterminating them back if needed but to get your jollies on based on how you kill them and killing prisoners for the fun of it and getting your giggles in based on who killed them in the most creative manner. It just got to me. I would never let my pre-teen read this book and would be unhappy if my teenager read it based on this one pervasive theme that ran through both books. There was a real lack of humanity displayed by the so called good guys, including the humans in the book.
Maybe this was a deliberate plot ploy by Mr. Ricca but I have failed to find a redeeming reason for it myself. Maybe it was simply to see if someone would be disturbed enough by it to say something. I don't know.
That all said, I only dinged it two stars to leave it as an 3 star ok rating. Mr. Ricca does have a lot of skill at telling a story and writing and I thought that deserved a positive mention. I feel bad giving such a harsh review but I truly have strong negative feelings toward parts of these books. I think it should be clearly stated by someone that because of the style of killing portrayed in the books, and that said killing is portrayed as a good thing that the good guys do, that it is very inappropriate for any young readers to read them.

This is the second book of the series and it is as good as the first one. They are the best Sy-Fy books I have ever read. Better than Star Wqars even
Jim Ricca's sense of humor is sick, and I love it! I haven't laughed so hard in years. The habanero scenes were hilarious! The rest of the book is pretty good, also. Fun book, funny author. 5 stars.
Aliens Reward 1and 2 were both great. Ralph meets friendly aliens and it changes his life as well as all people on earth.
A little far fetched but then thats what sifi is. Thanks to the author for the good read. Will be looking for more.
